Sachin Tendulkar encourages 2-year-old cricketer, calls him ‘perfect modern day player’
There are many kids in our country that want to become cricketers and play for the nation. However, every child prodigy has just one benchmark to look up to and that is Sachin Tendulkar.
Tendulkar is a cricketing genius who was spotted at a young age by his elder brother and groomed by his coach Ramakant Achrekar. Making his India debut at the age of 16 and making a lot of noise with his performance, Sachin went on to fulfill his potential and do a lot more.
Sometime back, a user on Twitter, @MMMmishu shared a video of his nephew Hashim, who is 2 years old, playing cricket and hitting the ball with a plastic bat. He also tagged Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni asking for their opinions on the little boy.
“Just 2 years old My Nephew #hashim Is he good? @sachin_rt @msdhoni @imVkohli #Cricket #IREvIND”
The 45-year-old former cricketer replied to the tweet with the quick analysis of the playing style of the young boy. He tweeted, “Straight drives, lofted shots, flicks. A perfect modern day player! Great start, #Hashim. Keep playing and keep enjoying the sport. My best wishes to you always. #SportPlayingIndia”
On Thursday, he had also urged the fellow citizens to play the sport they love.
Tendulkar also nominated Indian footballer Sandesh Jhingan, Hockey player Sardara Singh, cricketers Virat Kohli and Mithali Raj, along with badminton players Srikanth Kidambi and PV Sindhu to join in and motivate youth to engage in sports.
